Leeds United winger Kemar Roofe has acknowledged the growing expectations around the club this season and feels the new players are gradually getting used to each other.

Roofe is one of eleven new players Garry Monk signed this summer after he took charge of the club at the end of last season and carry out an overhaul of the Leeds United squad.

While the Yorkshire giants struggled in the initial weeks, their form turned last month and they have managed to creep up the Championship table with some positive performances and results.

There is a feeling around the club that Leeds are on the up this season and Roofe admits that there is a sense of expectation surrounding the club at the moment, not only from the fans but also from people outside the club.

And he feels that the Whites are managing to prove their detractors wrong because the players are finally gelling together as a team after some initial struggles
