Manchester United have confirmed their side to play host to rivals Manchester City in an EFL Cup tie at Old Trafford this evening, with a place in the quarter-finals on offer to the winners.
Jose Mourinho's men head into the fixture having been beaten 4-0 by Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend and looking to quickly bounce back by putting their local rivals to the sword.
Aiming to make sure Manchester City are beaten, Mourinho opts to pick the calm head of Michael Carrick in the centre of midfield, with the veteran taking the captain's armband. Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw are all at the back, with Ander Herrera picked in midfield. Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford all play, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic up top.
Mourinho has Memphis Depay off the bench if needed, while Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard also offer attacking options. Marouane Fellaini is also amongst the substitutes.
