Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has highlighted the Premier League experience of Kolo Toure, Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair as one of the reasons behind Celtic's impressive run of form this season.

The Hoops have dropped only two of the 27 points available in the nine league matches they have played so far and have already built a seven-point lead at the top of the table, having played one game less than McInnes' team, who are placed second.

The 45-year-old manager is not shy about accepting the gulf in class that exists between the Bhoys and all the other teams in the league, stressing the need for his team and the others to show that the title race is not a foregone conclusion yet.

Pointing out the Premier League experience of the trio, the 45-year-old said that the other teams need to show improvements so that they are able to catch up with the champions.

"They've signed three players with real value and Premier League experience", McInnes told his club's official website.

"Toure has made them more solid, Dembele offered them another threat and a different type of centre forward and Sinclair as well.

"So if you're looking for reasons [for why they have improved] there's three right there.

"I do think they've improved but it's up to us and others to show improvement in our own team as well.

"I think many are thinking it's a foregone conclusion but it's up to us and others to prove that that isn't the case."
