Michael O'Halloran has insisted that he has been doing all he can to convince Rangers boss Mark Warburton to pick him regularly.

Warburton named O'Halloran in the starting eleven last night and the winger played the full 90 minutes in the Gers’ 1-1 draw with St. Johnstone, his first league start this season.

O’Halloran did not even feature for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership meetings with Partick Thistle and Inverness CT earlier in the month.

And the 25-year-old, who explained that he was happy to play against his former team at Ibrox, however, was quick to admit that he was left disappointed with the result.

O’Halloran went on to add that he is doing everything in his power to play and is hopeful about Warburton picking him more regularly.

“It has been a long time since I played a league game and I was just happy to get out there, although it was a bit odd facing my old team”, he told Rangers TV.

“I enjoyed playing and being on the pitch, although I didn’t enjoy the result.

“I’ve been working hard every day and it is up to the manager now as he picks the team.

"I can only do what I can do and hopefully he picks me.”

O’Halloran, who joined Rangers from St. Johnstone in the last winter transfer window, has thus far made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Gers in the present campaign, providing five assists.
