Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane admits that it is safe not to get on the wrong side of Whites star Gaetano Berardi about anything as the defender is a tough character.

Berardi returned to the Leeds team in their penalty shootout win over Norwich City on Tuesday night and played the full 120 minutes of the EFL Cup round of 16 clash.

The Leeds defender has been dealing with several injury problems since last season and again got injured on the opening day of the current campaign at Queens Park Rangers.

The Swiss has shown character and gumption to deal with his injury troubles and if O’Kane is to be believed the defender is one tough character whom no Leeds player would want to upset.

When asked who the toughest character is in the Leeds squad, the midfielder told LUTV: “Bera.

Berardi will be hoping that after Tuesday night’s performance Garry Monk will name him in his squad for Leeds’ Championship clash against Burton Albion on Saturday at Elland Road.
