Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane has revealed that he sees himself managing a club after his career on the pitch is over.

The Northern Ireland international has been a revelation for Leeds since joining the club in the summer and has become a key player in Garry Monk’s squad at Elland Road.

His assured midfield performances have been one of the cornerstones of Leeds’ resurgence since last month and he was again on top of his game on Tuesday night against Norwich City.

A midfield general of Leeds at the moment, O’Kane indicated that in the future he could take up a coaching career and manage a football club once his playing career is behind him.

When asked who in the current Leeds squad is most likely to become a manager, the midfielder told LUTV: “Myself probably.

“I would say me.”

O’Kane will be looking to learn all he can under Monk, who himself started in management at a tender age.

The midfielder is expected to be again in the starting eleven when Leeds take on Burton Albion at Elland Road on Saturday.
