Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has acknowledged his side’s lack of form, but claims that he is happy with his players at the moment.

Guardiola’s men recorded their sixth game without a win in all competitions when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchester United in an EFL Cup round of 16 clash last night at Old Trafford.

After a blazing start to their season, October has not been kind to Manchester City and their last win in any competition came when they won at Swansea City last month.

A 3-3 draw at Celtic towards the end of September started their winless streak and Guardiola admits that it is not a good situation to be in for his Manchester City side.

However, the Spaniard is still confident about the ability of his players and is keen to see them get back on track soon.

"Yeah, it’s six games – not a good situation – but we are out of one competition, we have three still", he told the club’s official website.

"We are going to see.

"I am happy with the players and we are going to try in the future."

Manchester City will next travel to the Midlands this Saturday where they will take on West Brom at the Hawthorns.
