Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has admitted that Swedish side Malmo FF remain his true love in football, but says he is increasingly starting to love the Yorkshire giants.

The Swede has been a revelation for Garry Monk’s team since joining Leeds from Torino in the summer on a loan deal and has been key to their resurgence in form since last month.

Jansson started his career at Swedish outfit Malmo before joining Torino in 2014 and the defender admits that his first club will always remain special for him as he is a fan of the Swedish giants.

However, he also added that he is falling in love with Leeds United and some day may want to watch a game with the fans at Elland Road in the future.

When asked whether he could one day watch Leeds from the stands, the defender said on a Sky Bet Facebook Q&A: “Yes, of course.

“Maybe, we’ll see; some day I will be with the fans in the stands.”
