Chelsea have made enquiries about signing Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain, it has been claimed, however they face potential opposition for the player's signature.

The Blues are now actively looking at reinforcements to bring to the club during the January transfer window as they aim to add fresh impetus to their campaign.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Pastore is very much on Chelsea's radar and they have made contact over signing the attacking midfielder.

Pastore also has interest from China, where Shanghai SIPG are pondering a big-money move for the Argentine.

But any move for Pastore may only be sanctioned by PSG next summer as it is suggested they have made clear they will not look at allowing him to leave in the winter window.
