Former Chelsea star Tony Cascarino believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will not fret over losing Sadio Mane to international duty in January.

The Senegal international, who joined the Reds from fellow Premier League club Southampton in a big-money move last summer, has been in fine form for his new employers.

Mane has thus far made 11 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool, scoring six times and providing four assists.

The Merseyside giants will miss the services of the winger in January as he will head to Gabon to represent Senegal in the African Cup of Nations.

However, Cascarino thinks Klopp will not worry too much about losing Mane in January as he will still have plenty of options in the form of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana, whose playing styles are similar to that of the 24-year-old.

“If he would have had no one else to turn to, I would have said that would be a problem”, he said on Radio City Talk.

“But having a Lallana, having a Firmino, having a Coutinho gives him plenty of options.

“I know sometimes he will play all four of them, but he has got other players who could do sensational things in similar positions at number 10.

“He has got enough number 10s in there to not worry. But yes, he will not like to lose Mane.”

Mane, who scored twice in the 6-1 win over Watford at the weekend, has 33 caps and 10 goals for Senegal to his name.
