Watford have joined Stoke City, West Brom and West Ham in keeping a close watch on young Ajax defender Danilho Doekhi.

A product of the Excelsior academy, the 18-year-old defender joined Ajax in the summer and has been catching the eye of many with his assured performances in youth football.

He has been a regular part of Ajax’s Under-19 set-up and has also represented the club in the UEFA Youth League this season, with many observers impressed by his early performances.

And it seems he has also caught the eye of scouts from England as according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Watford are one of the Premier League clubs who have been keeping a close eye on his exploits in the Netherlands.

The Hornets are not the only Premier League club who have been tracking Doekhi as it has been suggested that West Ham, Stoke City and West Brom are also keeping a watch on the young defender.
