Napoli could move for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny next summer, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

The goalkeeper, who joined Roma on a season-long loan deal in 2015, returned to Arsenal at the start of the season before being sent out on a repeat deal with the Giallorossi.

Szczesny is expected to once again return to Arsenal at the end of the season, but Napoli are pondering a move to extend the Poland international’s stay in Serie A by swooping for him during the summer transfer window.

Napoli's Pepe Reina has received criticism for his performances between the sticks this season and the Azzurri have targeted the 26-year-old as a replacement for the Spaniard, who may quit the Stadio San Paolo next summer.

Szczesny, who has this far made 13 appearances in all competitions for Roma this season, keeping four clean sheets, is contracted with Arsenal until 2018.
