West Ham United striker Simone Zaza’s father Antonio has revealed that he is in the dark on potential interest in his son, as transfer talk swirls.

The 25-year-old, who was snapped up by West Ham on a season-long loan deal from Juventus in the summer, is yet to make an impact for the Hammers.

Simone has thus far clocked up 528 minutes over nine appearances in all competitions for the Premier League club; he has still not opened his goalscoring account for Slaven Bilic’s team.

The Italy international, whose move to West Ham will be made permanent if he turns out five more times for the east London outfit, has been heavily linked with a move away from the club during the January transfer window, with Napoli interested in taking him back to Serie A.

But Antonio, who is also Simone’s agent, insisted that he is yet to be contacted by any club regarding the forward, including Napoli.

“Simone is getting to grips with a new reality”, he was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Tutto Juve.

“It is clear he needs time. His redemption clause from Juventus is conditional on playing games, we are at nine of 14.

“The future? So far I have not been called by anyone, but I am available to talk with everyone. Even with Napoli.”

Simone, whose present contract with Juventus runs until 2020, has 14 caps and a goal for Italy to his name.
