Inter Milan and AC Milan are set to battle it out for the signature of Switzerland international Ricardo Rodriguez during the winter transfer window, according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia.

The Wolfsburg left-back, who was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer, has been in good form in the present campaign.

Besides providing stability to Wolfsburg’s defence, Rodriguez has also managed to score two times and provide as many assists in 12 games in all competitions this season.

New AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli was present in Germany to watch the Swiss international in action in Wolfsburg’s 3-0 win over Freiburg, with the versatile defender scoring once and setting up another while playing as a centre-back.

Inter have also made some tentative moves in the last few months for Rodriguez, who besides Arsenal, also attracted the interest of Chelsea in the summer.
