Celtic winger Scott Sinclair believes Steven Gerrard could become an instant fan favourite at Paradise if he joins the Scottish champions.

With the MLS season over for Los Angeles Galaxy and the Liverpool legend’s contract with the club about to expire at the end of the year, there has been speculation that the former England captain could return to Europe to sign for another side in January.

And he has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic in recent days owing to his history with Brendan Rodgers, who managed the veteran midfielder at Anfield during their time together at Liverpool.

Talk of a move to Celtic for Gerrard has been picking up pace in recent weeks and Sinclair feels it would be a great coup for the club if they managed to rope in the 36-year-old.

And the winger is confident that he would become an instant favourite amongst the Celtic fans should he arrive at Paradise.
