Corinthians defender Guilherme Arana, a target for Tottenham Hotspur, could well end up at Manchester United as his agent is at the English club's offices today to discuss his client's future.

A product of the Corinthians academy, the full-back has been attracting the prying eyes of scouts from all over the globe with his performances in Brazilian domestic football.




And it seems a couple of Premier League giants have been keeping a close watch on the 19-year-old Arana with a view to taking him to England in the near future, possibly in January.

It has been suggested that his agent has been in contact with Tottenham Hotspur over a move to England, but according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Manchester United have also entered the chase.
 


It has been claimed that his agent has arrived in England in recent hours to conduct talks over a possible move for Arana to Old Trafford and discuss the outlines of a proposed deal.

His agent is hoping to lay down the groundwork of an eventual move to Manchester United, despite interest from Tottenham in Arana.

Manchester United have recently revamped their global scouting network and it seems their South American scouts have been taking in the performances of the young full-back for some time.

Arana has made just 15 senior appearances for the Corinthians and has a contract until 2019 with the club.
