Laurent Koscielny is close to signing a new deal with Arsenal, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The defender, whose present contract with Arsenal is set to expire in the summer, is expected to put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal which would keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2020.




Although the two parties are yet agree on all the details of the new contract, it is believed that the deal could be announced before Arsenal’s Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Koscielny joined Arsenal from Lorient in 2010 and managed to establish himself into a first team regular under manager Arsene Wenger.
 


The France international has thus far amassed 262 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, helping the club to win two FA Cups and two Community Shields.

Besides providing solidity to Arsenal’s defence, Koscielny has also scored 22 times and set up four goals for the north London outfit.

The 31-year-old also has 42 caps and a goal for France to his name.
