Aston Villa loanee Jordan Veretout has revealed that he will assess his long term future at Saint-Etienne at the end of the season, while expressing his delight at the reception he has received at the Ligue 1 side.

The French midfielder joined Aston Villa in 2015 from Nantes, but after a poor season in England he was back in France when he joined Saint-Etienne on loan in the summer.

The midfielder has been playing regular football for the club and has emerged as an important player with 14 appearances in all competitions to his name already this season.

There have been suggestions that Saint-Etienne are keen to sign him on a permanent contract and Veretout is pleased that the club have shown such as an interest.

However, the Frenchman wants to keep his focus on having a good campaign and admits that an assessment of his long term future at the club will be made sometime later in the season.
