Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that it is all about Tottenham Hotspur’s mentality, ahead of his side’s crucial Champions League meeting with Monaco at the Stade Louis II this evening.

Spurs, who scored twice late to stun West Ham United in the Premier League at the weekend, currently find themselves in an unfavourable position in the Champions League.

Tottenham are currently third in Group E with four points from as many matches and need to win their remaining two group stage games to be certain about qualifying for Round of 16 of the Champions League.

And although Pochettino admitted that Spurs are expecting a tough outing against Monaco away in France, he feels his side’s mentality will be key to them beating the Ligue 1 outfit.

“Monaco is a very good team, challenging for the Ligue 1 title, but I think we have good momentum too”, he was quoted as saying by the club’s official site.

“This is a game we can win, we believe in our skill and our possibility.

“It’s true that Monaco will be tough, they are a very good team and we can see that from the game at Wembley.

“It’s for that reason it’s all about mentality, all about belief to score goals and try to play better.”

Tottenham, who are yet to lose a game in the Premier League this season, were beaten 2-1 by Monaco in the corresponding fixture at Wembley in September.

The north London outfit’s last Champions League group stage game will be against CSKA Moscow next month.
