Mathieu Debuchy is aiming to quit Arsenal when the winter transfer window swings open in January.

The right-back is firmly out of the picture at the Emirates Stadium, having slipped behind both Hector Bellerin and Carl Jenkinson in the right-back pecking order.

Debuchy is now looking to call time on his spell with the Gunners, according to French sports daily L'Equipe, as he seeks to relaunch his career.

The France international was wanted by Manchester United last summer, the Red Devils being prepared to offer him a five-year deal, but Arsenal blocked the move.

He eventually linked up with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux on loan for the second half of the campaign.

But Debuchy saw bad luck strike as he missed a number of games after picking up a thigh injury.

The 31-year-old has not managed a single first team appearances for the Gunners in the current campaign, though he has turned out for the Under-23s in the Premier League 2.

Debuchy's contract with Arsenal runs until 2019.
