Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin feels his side’s start against Paris Saint-Germain will be crucial as at home the onus is on the Gunners to put the pressure on their French visitors.

Edinson Cavani scored in the first minute for PSG when the two teams met at the Parc des Princes in September, but the French champions went on to miss a litany of chances to allow the Gunners to earn a point through an Alexis Sanchez strike in the 77th minute.

The Gunners got off to a horrendous start against the Parisians, but dug in hard to escape with a point and Coquelin feels at the end of the day it was a good point in the bag for his side.

However, he admits that Arsenal will have to start better against PSG tonight and feels that with them playing at home, the onus will be on the Gunners to take the initiative to the visitors at the Emirates Stadium.

“We need to start the game a bit better than what we did in the first game, I think that will be crucial”, the Frenchman told Arsenal Player.

“I thought it was a difficult game, obviously we expected it. To go to their place was always going to be tough.

“In the end I thought it was a great point for us, even if we were under pressure for the most part of the game. But we dug in.

“We’re playing at home this time, so it will be down for us to put the pressure on them.”

A win for either side tonight could go on to decide which of the two teams qualify for the Champions League last 16 as Group A winners.
