Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants Kurt Zouma to get an idea of the type of football he wants by playing with the Under-23s before coming back into the first team.

The Frenchman has been out of action for Chelsea’s senior team since suffering a serious knee injury in February and only returned to training last month following a lenghthy rehabilitation process.

Zouma has been playing regularly for Chelsea Under-23s over the last few weeks in order to get some momentum going and improve sharpness during games.

Conte revealed that the defender is no longer training with the senior team and wants the Frenchman to continue to learn his way of football with the Under-23s before he can return to the first team set-up again.

However, the Chelsea manager is convinced that the defender is getting better with each passing day and is taking one more step towards returning to the senior squad.
