Loris Karius has insisted that Liverpool are not concerned about Sunderland’s recent good form, ahead of his side’s Premier League meeting against the Black Cats on Saturday.

David Moyes’ team, who endured a terrible start to their 2016/17 campaign, presently find themselves 19th in the table with eight points from 12 games.

However, Sunderland will be heading to Anfield on the back of two consecutive victories, over Bournemouth and Hull City respectively.

On the other hand, Liverpool are on a 13-game unbeaten run in all competitions and are currently just a place and a point adrift of top spot in the Premier League.

And Karius, who explained that Liverpool will only be focusing on themselves and not Sunderland, is confident about his side claiming the full three points at the weekend.

"They probably have a good feeling after their win but we don't really think about what result they got in the last game and how they come here”, the custodian told the club’s official site.

"We analyse what they do well and what they don't and then we look at us and prepare for it, making sure we play our best game.

"And I think if we play at 100 per cent, we will get all three points at home.

"So we just have to make sure we're at our best so Sunderland will have a really, really tough opponent."

Liverpool, who were held to a goalless draw by Southampton last weekend, drew 2-2 with Sunderland in the Premier League at Anfield last season.
