Liverpool legend Jan Molby believes Jurgen Klopp is aware that he needs to deliver trophies for the Reds soon.

Klopp has earned many admirers since his arrival on Merseyside in October last year and came close to winning trophies at Liverpool in his first season when he guided the Reds to appearances in the EFL Cup and the Europa League finals.

However, the German’s bad luck in the cup finals continued to haunt him as his side lost both finals last term, but with Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-finals again this season, Klopp could have another opportunity to win his first trophy at Anfield soon.

And Molby feels the German is aware that he needs to bring silverware to Anfield soon as the history of the club demands that they regularly add more accolades to their trophy cabinet.

The former Red said on LFC TV: “If you're a manager of a football club like Liverpool then you need a trophy.
