Stoke City have contacted Genk over the availability of their winger Leon Bailey, who has also been linked with Manchester United, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

The 19-year-old, who is also on the radar of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germian, has been in fine form for Genk in the present campaign.

The youngster has thus far scored eight goals and provided as many assists in 27 appearances in all competitions this season, thereby attracting the interest of several European clubs.

And Stoke are the latest entrant in the race for Bailey, who is contracted with the Belgian outfit until 2020, but they have been warned he will not come cheap.

Following Stoke’s enquiry, Genk have notified the Potters that they want at least £17m for the Jamaican.

It has been claimed that Bailey’s representatives have also been in touch with Napoli, Nice and Bayer Leverkusen.

The starlet, who has been at Genk since 2015, is yet to earn a senior cap for Jamaica, but has represented the nation up to Under-23 level.
