Chelsea and Liverpool have received a boost in their interest in Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia as he has knocked back interest from Marseille.

Rudi Garcia is keen to take Kondogbia from Inter to Marseille in the winter transfer window, with the French giants now having money to spend following the takeover of the club by American businessman Frank McCourt.

But according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Kondogbia has waved away the attentions of Marseille, leaving Chelsea and Liverpool as his most likely destinations if he leaves Serie A.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could look to add Kondogbia to his midfield options, which Chelsea boss Antonio Conte sees a powerful performer in the France international, who can cope with an intense style of football.

And with Roma unwilling to sell Radja Nainggolan in the winter transfer window, Kondogbia may soon become a key target for Conte.
