Rangers winger Harry Forrester has expressed his delight at seeing his side return to winning ways against Aberdeen.

Following a defeat at Hearts in midweek, Mark Warburton’s men were keen to make amends at Ibrox against Aberdeen and Kenny Miller and Lee Hodson secured a hard fought victory over the Dons with second half goals.

The Gers moved up to second in the league table and relieved some of the pressure on themselves as they remained on course for European qualification this season.

Forrester was delighted to see Rangers get back to winning ways against a good Aberdeen side and lauded the fans for creating a raucous atmosphere inside Ibrox.

The winger took to Twitter and wrote: “What a performance from the boys today! Atmosphere was electric.”

Gers midfielder Jordan Thompson, who is currently on loan at Raith Rovers, was also pleased to see his parent club pick up an important win over the Dons.

The 19-year-old wrote on Twitter: “Good to be back at Ibrox today!

“Lads were excellent today and atmosphere was bouncing.”

Rangers will next have an opportunity to take revenge on Hearts when the Jambos travel to Ibrox next Saturday.
