Liverpool face heavyweight opposition in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, with French champions Paris Saint-Germain now on the American's tail.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a firm admirer of the Dortmund youngster and made an attempt to take him to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Dortmund have been reluctant to allow Pulisic, who is just 18 years old, to leave, but are now set to come under heavy pressure.

Liverpool have been tipped to renew their interest in the Dortmund man, but according to German daily Bild, PSG are now firmly in the race for the United States international.

Moving for Pulisic has been signed off by PSG's sporting director Patrick Kluivert and the French champions see money as no object to tempt him to the Parc des Princes.
