Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp attended Barcelona's Champions League game at the Camp Nou this evening, taking with him a number of Reds players.

With Liverpool not involved in European competition this season and having a free week, Klopp took the opportunity to catch a flight to Spain to take in a Champions League fixture.

Klopp saw a comfortable win for Barcelona over his countrymen Borussia Monchengladbach, while Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, James Milner, Kevin Stewart, Ragnar Klavan, Nathaniel Clyne, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum, amongst others and his assistants, were also in the crowd.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring for the Catalan giants in the 16th minute and both teams headed off at the break with Barcelona leading 1-0.

Barcelona eased up the gears in the second period and scored three unanswered goals, Arda Turan bagging a hat-trick with strikes in the 50th, 53rd and 67th minutes.

As a result Barcelona have finished with 15 points from six games at the top of Group C, their only defeat coming away to Manchester City.

Klopp will hope his Liverpool side will be involved in the Champions League next season, where they may well book a date against Barcelona.

And he will also want the players who were with him this evening to have soaked in the experience.
