Sergio Aguero On Bench – Manchester City Team vs Celtic Confirmed

Fixture: Manchester City vs Celtic
Competition: Champions League
Kick-off: 19:45 (UK time)

Manchester City have announced their team to take on Celtic in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium this evening.

The Citizens cannot improve on their current placing of second in Group C, meaning the pressure is off Pep Guardiola's men this evening against the Bhoys. However, having lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea at the weekend, Manchester City will be keen to return to winning ways.

To take on Celtic, Guardiola selects Willy Caballero between the sticks, while Bacary Sagna is an experienced head in an otherwise inexperienced back four. Fernando will want to offer protection to the defence, along with Pablo Zabaleta, who is deployed in midfield. There is a more familiar look to the front three behind the striker as Leroy Sane, Nolito and Ilkay Gundogan all start.

On the bench, Guardiola can call for Sergio Aguero if he needs to throw on another striker, while centre-backs John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi are also amongst the substitutes.
