Manchester City and Arsenal are showing an interest in young Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara, who is yet to sign his first professional contract with the club.

Considered one of the jewels of Marseille’s academy, the 17-year-old has been in impressive form for the club’s youth team and has already represented France Under-18s.

However, Marseille are in for a fight to convince the defender to sign his first professional contract with the club and it has been claimed that they recently held discussions with the player’s representatives over a deal.

The terms of the deal have been discussed between the parties, but Kamara is yet to agree a contract with Marseille and it seems he has some big European clubs ready to snare him away from the Ligue 1 side.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Arsenal and Manchester City have kept their eyes peeled on the young defender and are in a position to offer better financial terms to the player.
