Ian Rush has warned Liverpool about the threats posed by West Ham United, ahead of the Reds’ Premier League meeting with the Hammers at Anfield on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s team, who saw their 15-game unbeaten run come to an end after losing 4-3 to Bournemouth last weekend, are presently third in the Premier League table with 30 points from 14 games.

On the other hand, West Ham have failed to win in their last six matches in all competitions and are currently 17th in the standings with just 12 points.

However, Rush wants Liverpool to be careful against West Ham, who he thinks could be dangerous owing to their recent poor run, with the Reds legend also stating that the east London outfit boast a good record at Anfield lately.

“They could be dangerous because of that [their poor run]”, Rush told Liverpool’s official site.

“They’ll be thinking ‘if we can go to Liverpool and get a result…’.

“They’ve previously played well at Anfield, so we have to be careful.”

West Ham, who won 3-0 in the Premier League at Anfield last season, have lost just twice in their last five visits to Merseyside.
