Leeds United boss Garry Monk has no doubts about holding on to left-back Charlie Taylor beyond the January transfer window.

Taylor slapped in a transfer request in the summer with a number of Premier League clubs on his tail, but Monk and Leeds remained firm and blocked his move away from Elland Road.

The left-back knuckled down and has become an important part of a resurgent Leeds side who are currently fourth in the Championship table, but with the January window approaching, there are fresh rumours about his future at the club.

However, the Leeds manager indicated that he has no doubts about Taylor’s future at Elland Road and is expecting to hold on the 23-year-old academy product beyond January.

Monk said in a press conference when asked about Taylor’s future at the club: "All of our players need to stay where they are.

The defender has made 22 appearances for the club this season, but only has a contract with Leeds until next summer.

He has remained a constant in Monk’s team this season despite his troubles in the summer and subsequent refusal to sign a new contract.
