Rangers defender Danny Wilson admits that he was part of one of his side’s worst performance against Hearts last week and has stressed that the Gers are keen to make amends when they take on the same opposition this weekend.

In a limp performance away at Tynecastle, Rangers suffered a demoralising 2-0 defeat to Hearts and the result brought further questions about the ability of Mark Warburton’s team.

The Glasgow giants did bounce back with a win over Aberdeen at home last weekend, but with Hearts travelling to Ibrox this Saturday, the Gers are keen to extract revenge.

Wilson admits that their performance at Tynecastle was one of the worst he has seen his side put out and he insisted that Warburton’s men are keen to right the wrongs of that showing at Ibrox this weekend.

The defender said on the Rangers Podcast: “It was a really disappointing performance; probably one of the worst performances we have out as a team over the course of 90 minutes in the last 18 months.

“But that’s gone and we need to make sure that we do a lot more in the game coming up on Saturday.

“We are looking forward to it as it’s an opportunity to put it right as too many things went wrong that night and we want to erase it quickly.”

Rangers are currently second in the league table, two places and two points ahead of Hearts in fourth.
