Arsenal linked defender Djibril Sidibe has emerged as one of the options for Barcelona during the January transfer window.

With Aleix Vidal struggling with injuries and form, signing a right-back is Barcelona’s priority in the January transfer window and the club have prepared a list of targets.

Valencia’s Joao Cancelo is the Catalan giants’ top target, but Los Che could refuse to sell the player for a fee less than his buyout clause of €30m, a sum Barcelona are unwilling to fork out.

Therefore Barcelona have written down another name on their list of targets and according to Mundo Deportivo, Monaco’s Sidibe is the full-back, the Spanish giants could opt to move for next month.

Arsenal made an offer for the defender in the summer, but Sidibe opted to move to Monaco from Lille and he created quite a furor recently when he suggested that he could leave the Ligue 1 outfit at the end of the season.

Barcelona have been keeping a close watch on the defender’s performances in France and have been impressed by the speed and agility he could provide to their right-flank.

And if Valencia decide to dig their heels over Cancelo, the Catalan giants are expected to plot a move for the Monaco defender in January.

He has a contract until 2021 with the club.
