Vincent Janssen should be able to return to action for Tottenham Hotspur in ten days to two weeks, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.

The Netherlands international striker is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, but Pochettino believes he has a good idea when the Dutchman will be back in the mix.

Asked at a press conference about Janssen, Pochettino said: "He’s had an injection in his ankle, but now he’s in a process to recover from his injury and we’ll see.

"Maybe in 10 days, two weeks, he can be available again", the Spurs boss added.

Janssen missed last weekend's 5-0 romp over Swansea City at White Hart Lane, while he was also absent for Spurs' 3-1 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow in midweek.

Since his €20m switch from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, Janssen has failed to make his mark on English football.

The Dutchman has scored just once in 13 Premier League appearances, while he has come up short in all five Champions League games he has featured in.

He did though score twice in Spurs' EFL Cup run.
