Everton will move for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini if they cannot land Manchester United's Memphis Depay, it has been claimed.

The Toffees are looking to increase their attacking options in the winter transfer window, which swings open in less than a month's time.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman is keen to land Depay, who is out of favour at Manchester United, but according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Gabbiadini is the club's main backup target, if they cannot land the Dutchman.

Depay has struggled to make an impact under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and as a result is increasingly being tipped for the exit door.

However, the Toffees have competition for Depay, meaning they have already identified an alternative in the shape of Gabbiadini.
