Pontus Jansson believes that Leeds United were poor at the Amex in their 2-0 loss against Brighton on Friday night, but has vowed the Whites will bounce back against Reading.

Brighton dominated possession early on against Garry Monk's men, but had to wait until the 23rd minute to make the breakthrough when Kalvin Phillips handled on the line, was sent off, and the Seagulls awarded a penalty which they scored.

Leeds clung on in the game to keep Brighton at bay as the clock ticked down, though they rarely offered anything going forward themselves.

And then another penalty, given away by Kyle Bartley tugging back Lewis Dunk in the area, saw Brighton make it 2-0 inside the final ten minutes.

It ended 2-0 and Jansson, who was replaced by Liam Cooper in the 88th minute, feels his side were poor.

And he is keen to see an instant reaction when Reading visit Elland Road on Tuesday.

The Sweden international wrote on Twitter: "Poor performance from us today, but we will bounce back and give everything on Tuesday against Reading."

Jansson's comment would indicate he believes he will be involved against the Royals, easing any fears of an injury being the cause of him coming off at the Amex.

Leeds are still fourth in the Championship, but could fall down the table over the course of the weekend.
