Arsenal are set to sign striker Olivier Giroud and midfielder Francis Coquelin to contract extensions after agreements were reached with the pair.

The Gunners have been looking to tie down key squad members and boss Arsene Wenger is keen to make sure both Giroud and Coquelin continue their time at the Emirates Stadium.

According to French radio station RMC, Arsenal will extend Giroud's contract by a further year, taking it until the summer of 2019.

Meanwhile, Coquelin will put pen to paper on a contract extension of two years, taking his deal at the club until 2021.

The Premier League giants have reached an agreement with the pair, meaning the announcement could be imminent, with just pen needing to be put to paper.

The Gunners are also looking to extend the contract of another French player in the shape of centre-back Laurent Koscielny.

Koscielny, who has established himself as a key man with Arsenal, should sign a new deal running until 2020.

Giroud has struggled to command a regular spot in the side so far this season, with Wenger often preferring Alexis Sanchez as his main striker.
