Chelsea are poised to rival Liverpool and Juventus for the signature of Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie during the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old midfielder’s future at Atalanta has been a subject of speculation over the last few days with a number of clubs believed to be interested in his services.
Liverpool have been reportedly ready to offer €22m to Atalanta for the youngster, but Juventus are the ones who are believed to be favourites in the chase for the young Ivorian.
It has been suggested that Juventus have made some serious moves for the player over the last few days, but they have failed to make Atalanta budge from their asking price of €25m.
And according to Sky Italia, the Bianconeri have a new club to see off in the chase for Kessie as it has been claimed that Chelsea are interested in taking the youngster to England.
The west Londoners are believed to be keen to make more additions to their squad in January and it has been suggested that Antonio Conte wants the highly regarded Kessie at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are also poised to meet the financial demands of Atalanta, which could further complicate the deal for the Italian champions who have had Kessie on their radar for months.
It has been suggested that even AC Milan have contacted Atalanta to enquire about the possibility of signing the 19-year-old midfielder.
