Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who has been linked with Liverpool, as a potential replacement for John Obi Mikel.

French giants Marseille want to snap Mikel up from Chelsea and are claimed to be in negotiations to land their man in the winter transfer window.

And Conte, who is also set to lose Brazil international Oscar to Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG, is eyeing reinforcements as he looks to keep Chelsea's title challenge on track.

The former Italy coach is considering a number of options, one of whom, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, is Inter schemer Kondogbia.

Kondogbia has been regularly linked with leaving Inter in recent months and it has been claimed Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are interested.

But the former Monaco man could well end up moving to Stamford Bridge if the pieces fall into place for the transfer to happen.

Inter signed Kondogbia from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in the summer of 2015 for a fee of €31m.

However, he has not hit the heights expected at the San Siro and his future at the club is in doubt as the winter transfer window looms.
