James Rodriguez, who has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United, has admitted he could well quit Real Madrid and has already fielded offers.

The Colombia international, who won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup, has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot under coach Zinedine Zidane and was on the bench in Real Madrid's Club World Cup final win over Kashima Antlers, something which was a source of disappointment for him.

Rodriguez insists he is happy at Real Madrid, but has left the door firmly open on a transfer by saying he cannot guarantee he will stay at the club and revealing he has already received offers.

With the winter transfer window looming, Rodriguez was quoted as saying by beIN Sports: "I can't assure [people] I will stay at Real Madrid.

"I have offers and seven days left to think about my future", the Colombian continued.

"I am happy in Madrid, but I want to play more.

"I have a bitter feeling as I wanted to play the final, but I am happy for the title.

"It's my 15th title in my career", Rodriguez added.

It is unclear whether Real Madrid would agree to sell the 25-year-old midway through the current campaign, however Rodriguez is cutting an unhappy figure when left out of the team by Zidane.

Los Blancos may also be tempted to try to recoup a portion of the €80m paid to Monaco to sign the forward in 2014.
