Inter Milan are interested in snapping up Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini initially on a loan deal, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

The Italy Under-21 international has been in good form since joining the Villains on a four-year deal from Hellas Verona in the summer.

Gollini has thus far made 20 Championship appearances for Aston Villa, conceding 17 goals and managing to keep six clean sheets.

The 21-year-old’s impressive displays have attracted the interest of Inter Milan, who want to sign him on loan with a purchase option.

The Italian giants are on the lookout for a deputy for Samir Handanovic and have zeroed in on Gollini, whose present contract with Aston Villa runs until 2020.
