Paris Saint-Germain have thrashed out personal terms with Arsenal linked Julian Draxler over a proposed move to the French capital in January, it has been claimed.

Draxler’s future at Wolfsburg has been the subject of speculation since last summer and the rumours of his impending departure have picked up pace over the month of December.

The Germany international has been keen to leave the Bundesliga outfit for some time and Premier League giants Arsenal have been keeping tabs on his situation for months.

But it seems PSG have raced forward in the chase for the German as according to French radio station RMC, the club have thrashed out details of a contract with Draxler’s representatives.

PSG sporting director Patrick Kluivert has held a series of meetings with Draxler’s agent and it has been suggested that the player has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract with the French champions.

The Parisians have continued to hold talks over a move for Draxler in January with Wolfsburg and have offered a fee of around €30m, but it seems they will have to fork out more.

Wolfsburg are resigned to the possibility of losing the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, but want a figure close to €40m from his sale during the winter window.

Draxler joined Wolfsburg from Schalke in the summer of 2015 and has a contract until 2020 with the club.

He has also been linked with Juventus and Sevilla.
