Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is not expecting any Spurs players to leave the club during the upcoming winter transfer window, thereby ruling out an exit for Ben Davies.

Davies, who has struggled for game time in the present campaign, has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane in January, with Crystal Palace interested in snapping him up on loan.

But it seems the left-back will stay put at the north London club as Pochettino insisted that Tottenham will not lose any of their players in the January transfer window.

“I don’t expect that players will go out of the squad in January”, he said in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“There is no sense [in that].”

Pochettino went on to add that he is expecting a quiet winter transfer window on the incoming front too, with the Argentine tactician stating that he is happy with the squad he has at his disposal.

However, if the right opportunity comes up, he is prepared to move.

“I don’t expect to do some business because I am happy with the squad that we have and I think it’s not the right moment”, he continued.

“Only if there is the possibility to benefit us.

"If not, no.”

Tottenham, who will next face Watford on Sunday, are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 36 points from 18 games, 10 adrift of leaders Chelsea.
