Henrik Larsson's son, Jordan Larsson, has completed a switch to Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, despite having been linked with Celtic.

Jordan has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal with the Eredivisie outfit as he looks to kick on with his career in what is his first move outside his native Sweden.

Just 19 years old, Jordan moves from Helsingborgs, following their relegation from the Swedish top flight this year.

He will now prepare to jet out with the NEC squad on Tuesday to Spain, where the Dutch outfit are holding their winter training camp in Marbella.

And NEC technical director Edwin de Kruijff is delighted that his side have won the race for the highly rated young forward, who can operate in a variety of positions.

He told his club's official site: "With Jordan we get a striker into the club who can play in different positions up front. He is a player with excellent shooting technique and mentality.

"Despite the fact he is only 19, he has nonetheless the necessary experience.

"With us he will get the chance to develop under the coaching staff and myself, and the scouts, are convinced that he will do under our coach Peter Hyballa."

NEC, who finished in tenth spot in the Eredivisie last season, currently sit in 12th place in the Dutch top flight and have scored only 18 goals in 17 league matches.
