Serie A outfit Genoa are showing an interest in signing West Ham flop Simone Zaza, who is also a target for Valencia, in January.

Zaza joined the Hammers from Juventus during the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal, but his move to England has been nothing short of a failure for all parties.

The striker is yet to find the back of the net for West Ham and the Premier League outfit are working to cancel the loan agreement they have with Juventus this month.

La Liga outfit Valencia have shown the most interest in Zaza and have been negotiating with Juventus over a loan deal for the player over a move to Spain.

However, with Cesare Prandelli leaving Valencia last week there have been suggestions that Zaza might turn down the opportunity and he could return to Italy this month.

And according to Italian daily Il Secolo XIX, Serie A outfit Genoa are interested in snapping up the West Ham flop in January, but they have a few hurdles to clear before a deal can be done.

It has been suggested that Genoa could struggle to sign Zaza purely for economic reasons as they might struggle to meet both the player’s and Juventus’ financial demands.

The striker still has takers in Italy, but he might have to lower his demands to find a club in January.
