AC Milan are still waiting for an answer from Everton on their bid for Gerard Deulofeu, according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport.

The Spaniard, who joined Everton from Barcelona in the summer of 2015, has been sparingly used by new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman in the present campaign.

Deulofeu has thus far managed to clock up just 524 minutes over 12 appearances in all competitions this season and has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Marseille, Deportivo La Coruna and Las Palmas have been credited with interest in the 22-year-old along with AC Milan, who want to sign him on loan with the option of making the move permanent.

AC Milan’s Serie A rivals Roma also tried the same approach to rope in the youngster initially on loan with the right to purchase, but Everton rejected the offer.

Despite being aware of the outcome of Roma’s bid, the Rossoneri have still forwarded their offer to the Merseyside club and are expecting an answer from the Premier League outfit in the next few days.

Deulofeu, who is yet to earn a senior cap for Spain, is contracted with Everton until 2018.
