Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted the Gunners won’t be chasing Ricardo Pereira in the winter transfer window.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Portugal international Pereira, who currently plays for Ligue 1 outfit Nice on loan from Portuguese ginats FC Porto.

With Mathieu Debuchy linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in the current transfer window, it had been suggested Wenger could move for full-back Pereira.

However, on being asked whether the Gunners are looking to bring in the Portuguese to north London in the transfer window, Wenger made it clear that Arsenal will not be making a move for the right-back.

“No, we are not [interested in Pereira]”, Wenger said in a press conference earlier today.
