Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are interested in signing Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep during the January transfer window.

The London club sacked Alan Pardew last month and brought in former West Ham and England manager Sam Allardyce to boost their chances of surviving in the Premier League this season.

Palace have lost two out of three games under Allardyce, including a 2-1 home defeat to fellow relegation contenders Swansea on Tuesday night, but the new manager is expected to receive funds this month to strengthen his squad.

The 62-year-old is expected to pursue a number of players in January in order to boost Palace's chances of survival this season and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Rennes winger Ntep is one of the players the Palace boss wants in the building by the end of the month.

A product of the Auxerre academy, Ntep joined Rennes in 2014 and has emerged as a key player for the club with his performances over the last couple of campaigns.
